How long did it take to complete a fishless cycle in your seeded ( bacteria from an established tank or Bio-spira ) tank?

Took me 2 weeks. Used a filter piece and a cup of gravel from an established tank. I planted the tank at start up though, so it was more of a silent cycle.

Less than a week, but it wasn't necessarily "seeded". I run two filters on each tank and when I get a new tank I move a filter off an established tank and replace it with the new filter.

on my goldfish tank it took a couple days... but right now i'm setting up two tanks for some friends, and it's already been a week for them. i think i put too much ammonia initially, so that killed whatever bacteria i had used to seed the tank. i'm probably going to have to re-seed in the next day or two.

and transporting a filter is basically the same thing as seeding in my book.

how long should u run you new filter on a cycled tank before its considered seeded?

Immediate as well on several tanks. Love it!!
