I just cleaned out a 2 gallon that had been sitting with nothing in it except algae. I bleached, then rinsed and rinsed added a bunch of declor. I planted a few corkscrew vals in sand and threw in a few pond snails.
I would like to add some Endlers but will the snails and a flake of food every day cycle the tank till I get them?

Yep, Assuming you ahve enough snails and fish food a biofilter will estabilish. The truly convenient thing with snails is that Ammonia and nitrites do not effect them like they do our fish. so you can let ammonia build up a little if it does, and you don't need to worry about water changes or excessive levels.

Thanks! I have been letting the snail population grow in my kids tanks for my loaches and right now there are lots but they are small. Rough estimate how many? 10-20?
