i am in the process of cycling two 55 gallon tanks. i got a few questions :)
1. one is in the last stages in the bacteria bloom. it has been in it for about two or three days now. in this stage should i step up the water changes a little bit? i usually take out about 10 gallons a day?
2. i noticed some algea forming to i put in some treatment for that. i used algea destroyer. anyways, is this stuff worth it? i only noticed it on one peice of the glass.
3. i have been cycling a 55 gallon tank for about a week now, its going to be a community tank. anyways i have had a jungle veil, a bannana plant, a dwarf gourmi, 3 zebra danios, a bumble bee cat, and 2 phantom tetras. should i add more fish to help the cycling? is there anything i can do to help the process along? i have been putting a little bit of gravel from a developed tank into a net, and letting that dangle into the new tank. also, i have been ringing the filter over the new tank as well. is this stuff worth it?
thanx alot guys :)

i have one more quick question. prior to the cleaning of my tank, my tank kept getting really green, it wasnt algea, the water was just green. if i did like a 70 % water change a few days later, the green would come back. was this because of over feeding? it was in an oscar tank.

Green water is algae - it's just floating unicellular algae.

A blackout will cure it.
