Cycling new tank found snails!!!

here i attach a picture of the leaves that i trimmed off the plant because it's badly damage and a picture of the exact plant. sorry i cant take the snail picture coz' my camera can't have a good view on it.. it will appear as a black dot..

could this be trumpet snail?

It's a pond snail.

But...common pont snails dont eat leaves?! What kind of plants was it?
