well... started setting up a tank for my mom the other day.. ive got a good penguin 170 filter on a 20G tank I had it running a couple days before putting in any fish.. She insisted on getting 3 small male guppies and a chineese algae eater to break in the tank(i know, too many fish).. I couldn't talk her out of it and so far 2 of the guppies died one of them looked like it may have had ich - all of the guppies were always swimming around full speed it seemed like, and they would go straight against the current from the filter alot also.. they hardly ever just relaxed and swam around calmly... Anyway.. what do i do now - I'm planning on a change tommorow - also, since it looks like all these fish are screwed, what are the hardiest fish for breaking in an aquarium with - because it looks like its going to be a pita... anyway - thanks

Reaper,
Best way to do this is to return the fish you have or ask the store til hold them until your mum has cycled the tank and go fishless. Print the sticky at the top of the page on cycling and have your mum read it. Then feel free to ask any questions ... :)
