So my cycling tank can handle 4ppm amonia in 9 hours to 0ppm
Nitritres I haven't really seen more then 2ppm but it gets there in about 1 min
Nitrates I read at 5ppm or less. It gets really dark with the first solution, but then clears up after I put the second testing solution in the tube.

Now, I tested my water and went to a friends party for a few hours, (4+) when I came back I noticed I didn't toss and rince out the tube, but it said that I had 40ppm Nitrates. :thud:

When I do the test every morning I get 0 amonia, 2 nitrite, 5 nitrates, So i add 1 tablespoon of Amonia which gives me close to 4ppm amonia.

am I still doing right?

The test for nitrate continues developing over time. You need to check it at the specified time for it to be accurate.

If you're showing nitrite and nitrate, you should be close to being done. Evidently, you're doing it right.

nope, both cycling. I tryed using bio-spira but it didn't seem to take, so the 38, i have been doing 90% WC 3 times a day, morning, after work, and before I go to bed.
