Why that specific water conditioner? I like Kordon

There are only 2, maybe 3, water conditioners that are known to detoxify ammonia and nitrites as well as defusing chlorine and chloramines, and Seachem Prime is regarded as the best.
I've never heard of Kordon, but if it's like most conditioners, it only deals with chlorine &/or chloramines, and does not detoxify ammonia & nitrites.
Read the Kordon label. If it doesn't say it detoxifies ammonia & nitrites, then it doesn't.

Also, Prime is the most cost effective out there for the dose. Many of the others you have to double the dose when dealing with chloramine, IME.

Update ... after I planted the tank everything shot down to zero :) the plants are taking care of everything and my Betta boy Is doing great I even got him a snail :) I did move him into a new tank but I moved the cycled filter with him and all the parameters are fine ... I just do weekly changes now :)
