diatomacious algae bloom

I have a new tank (55gal). Since adding the lights (lunar aqualight) there has been a diatom bloom in my tank. The tank is not near a window or in the path of direct sunlight.

I have only added the total (+20lbs) amount of LR to the tank as of yesterday, so there is going to still be more cycling left.

What can I expect to happen AND How can i control the bloom without there being any other organisms? Are there any organisms or techniques I can use to control the bloom in light of the cycle not being complete? (ie turning off the lights, or adding snails etc..) Your thoughts are appreciated!

To be honest, i would just leave the lights off untill the cycle has finished..Dont see any real need to have them on...

Diatoms will go on their own provided your flow is good and when the clean up crew is added, they will tackle this also
