For a long time now, I've been thinking about getting some Dainichi pellets. I find the clay as a digestive aid concept intriguing.

I've considered the Veggie Deluxe and the Koi Premium. At $18 for 17.6 oz, it's quite steep, but I've been thinking of keeping some for myself and then reselling some for samples in a regular envelope.

People seem to do well reselling Ken's food in sample sizes, I would LOVE IT if someone had Dainichi foods for sale at sample sizes, but no one ever seems to...maybe I need to give it a shot!

What do you all think about Dainichi foods? Are they actually worth paying more for? Would anyone want to buy a sample? I'd sell them at $2 shipped for a half full Ziploc snack baggie...I believe that would be small enough to put in a regular envelope with a stamp.

Funny you should ask. I recently got a 8.8oz container of Dainichi cichlid Veggie Delux small sinking from a distributor friend of mine. I have been using NLS pellets with my tangs for years and love it. I figured why not try it, since the price was right, free..

I have only been using it about a month.. They seem to like it..

It's what a lot of the people in my club feed. I feed it with NLS and Hikari. One thing I don't like is as soon as the pellets hit the water the clay coating starts dissolving. So if the fish doesn't eat it immediately it gets cloudy. Also when they eat it, if you have a bunch of gill washers, the tank gets cloudy. Doesn't hurt anything and I wouldn't not use it for those reasons, but it's not an omg must use this food product.

Wow, that's cool! Think you could send me a small sample? I'd be glad to pay for it.
PM me your address and I will toss a little in a envelope and send it off to you.. Or I can deliver it as I will be driving to Ocala in the next 6-8 weeks

I havent seen that at all, but I only drop a few pellets into the tank at a time and they are gone in milliseconds..
