Is it common for the damsel to feed on the algae on the live rocks? All of my damsels seems to be pecking on my live rocks te whole day.Is this a bad thing?

In the wild, damsels 'maintain' rocks with algae on them as a personal little garden. In our tanks, they readily take to prepared foods, but will still graze on the algae from rocks. Normal, and not a bad thing--helps control algaes.

Damsels, like clownfish, and several others, are omnivores. I've noticed that my chromis, and when I had them, my clownfish, took to grazing on the seaweed salad I put in the tank for my tang. :D
