I stick with the short finned variety...the longfinned variety wouldnt survive long...and the shortfinned are only 3/$1 and some of the lfs in town sell them for less. the cheaper the better for my Krib tank. Killer has been known to like live food. and I wont put "feeder" fish in my tanks as they usually carry diseases such as ich. and most "feeder" fish are platys and guppies with longer fins...not as quick as danios. they're a good dither fish. they give Killer a workout. and yes, i do feed Killer real food like bloodworms and just regular cichlid pellets. I dont buy the danios with the intent of them to be food...I just dont feel awful if he eats a 30 cent fish versus him attacking and chowing down on my $6 rams...this is why Killer has his own tank. my other Kribs, Blade and Trinity, have yet to eat another fish...I dont know why Killer does it...he's a cannibal...
