Dario Dario (Scarlet Badis) feeding

I received my dario's from Mgamer, but I've found a few sites that do sell them, although the shipping is RIDICULOUS (minimum purchase of $24, $36+ shipping for 4-6 fish smh). I'm trying to locate about two or three more in case I lose any genders while I'm away (2 males, 1 possible female in 5g now-not sure).

I'm going to try frozen cyclops as soon as I can find it and see if that works. I just received my culture kit from www.carolina.com, super fast shipping! I believe I'll probably start the culture when I get back from my vacation instead of trying to travel with daphnia in water bottles lol.

@SubRosa I'm actually thinking about breaking down and doing that at some point and time. The only reason I ordered the daphnia was to see if they could live in the tank with all the fish, and keep a couple cultures going outside the tank to constantly replenish a steady amount. I believe my plants should be growing in even more by the time I get home, so there just may be enough hiding spaces for them by that time.
I do exactly that with my Gulf Coast Pygmy Sunfish which are very similar in many ways to Darios. I have a mass of susswassertang that takes up almost 1/2 the tank and daphnia are always present, if not reproducing, even though I'm giving my culture a break and letting it rebuild for the last few days. I also feed with Banana Worms for the fry, the Grindals and some mosquito larvae as well and there is a small population of Cherry Shrimp that somehow manages to hang on.
