I have a dark brown fuzzy looking algea that is covering everything. but not the glass.. mostly the plants and large rockwork.
I cleaned it about 3 times with brushes in the last couple months but it keeps coming back.
I have a 90g with a large jack, med. convict and two med. size tinfoil barbs.
I am running a large wet dry with bio balls and foam, carbon, and pure.
Its pumped with a mag 7. also a large power head in tank for even more circulation. Tanks been running for about 2 years, and the algea started about 4 months ago.
I have a 50/50 florecsnt running about 8 hours a day.
I do a 25% water change about every month or so.

Do you think I am overstocked now?
They are about 5" each. and the Jack is about 10"
Convict is about 4"

Maybe not at this point, but you will need to start looking for a larger aquarium as you will need it in the very near future.

Ok. I added my other bulb. (2) 40watt.
so that should help a lot. and I increased the hours of light from about 8 to 11.
I brushed it all off the rocks and stuff again, and will do a water change and see what happens.

Coming back like crazy!
After looking at it better with the extra light, it seems more like a brown/purple hair algea!?
HELP!
