I keep my 75 gallon convict tank overstocked to keep them from breeding.(14 fish between 2-1/2" and 4"). This worked great for 10 months untill now. One of the smaller females managed to take control of the front corner of the tank and have some babies. These fish have an amazing ability to reproduce under almost any conditions. I guess I have live food now..lol

Sorry I didn't answer till now..was out of town. The tankmates had really fresh live food. I usully can't give them away that is why I don't want them to breed. My LFS might take them so I can set the tank up as an Amazon biotope. Going to do this sometime in the future, but am in and out of town so much I have to wait to get the time.

Convicts, the rabbits of Aquaria.

Convict Fry

Stop feeding for a day or two and all those fry will disappear over night LOL:devil:
