Well I've had two little senegal bichirs for about six months. Decided to move them into Wataugachicken's big flat 50 gal to swim with her slightly larger senegal. They sniffed each other over for a while, but settled into a nice bichir pile for the night. Switched off the lights and went to bed. In the morning, found that the smallest bichir had leaped through a small hole in the lid, and landed head first on the hardwoods, there to dry to a husk. Very sad, I wish I'd realized she could leap through an opening that small. RIP little Eights the bichir. Your tankmates are still looking for you.
