I have 6 guppy tanks, 3- 10 gallons, 2 - 20 gallons and one 15 gallon hexagon for the babies. I am constantly pulling out babies an average of once a week. I pull them out and put them in the other tank to protect them from the males eating them. I actually like to cross the different kinds together to see what happens to the next generation. Some of my guppies have no color (mosquito fish) and some do, so when you mix them, they turn out really cool. My favorite is a male that has like a pearly color mixed with yellow. Right now, I have a least 50 babies in the hexagon.
I do use some for Cichlid food, too, so I don't mind the overpopulation.
