so i know this is not completely a herp forum but my brother is wishing to start up a terrarium with tree frogs. he wanted me to ask someone if tree frogs (were not sure what kinds yet.) and dart frogs would go together. weve kept a lot of frogs in the past so specific requierments wont be a problem for him. were just wondering if diffrent species can mix.
any suggestions would be great!

Darts and hylid treefrogs should not be kept together. Most hylids are too big, and none of them have quite the same care requirements as darts. Even when mixing different species of darts together or different species of hylids together you have to be careful.

Simple solution: build two terrariums!

I am not going to say that it could never work, but I would personally advise against it.

I have experience with frogs and this is a bad idea for many reasons like darts can still have some poison left and the treefrogs may try and eat the small darts and so.

perfect! thanks all for the suggestions. notophthalmus that's a great idea! I can always use another excuse to get more terrariums! :)
well one species per set up it is!
