I am not going to say one way or the other whether or not you shoudl use it but I will say that copper and its salts do not dissolve easily in water as was mentioned above.
The main reason I would not use it is that I know of no people that actually clean out their dehumidifiers. And I canonly imagine all of the gunk that lives in there, bacteria, dust etc... It doesn't sound pleasant to me.
