Dead female Betta NEED HELP!!!!

I came home this morning and my female betta was gone,Also my guppy is sick I think and laying at the bottom of the tank. My Molly were trying to eat it and it was still live trying to get away for them. OK Does MOLLYS eat other fish if so please tell me so that I won't put any other fish back in the tank with them. I put one of my guppys in one bowl and the one that has hardly any fins left in another. I am so F%#$ Mad that this happen. So please do tell!!! Also with the Cory Catfish do it????:help: :devil:​

Cories will NOT agress towards other fish. Mollies, I dunno, could be fin rot or something...

No the fish was great yesterday, and I have a fish gone as well. So something is going on.

When was the last Water Change (WC)?

Mollies and guppies can be a bit hyper, but usually amongst themselves. I have a molly that is a glutton and he nipps other fish away from his food, but that's it.

The Cory will scavange the dead fish, but never hurass anything else. As for the fins being missing (over night), I would suspect the betta nipping when she was alive. Do the fins look frayed or 'clipped' (small pieces taken out of it)?

Oky, this morning I looked in the tank and one of my guppy was at the bottom of the tank and the mollys were niping at it that is how the fins got gone, Now I cleaned that tank lastnight everything was good no water problmes or anything everyone was happy unitl this moring The female betta was gone out of the blue!!!! Mollys are two times bigger than the guppy.

Did you just get these fish recently? If so, how were they acclimated?

Based on this, I assume the water was "good"?

And yes, most fish will nip at a sick or dying fish. Can you get the guppy out and away from the Mollies? If not, from the sounds of things, he won't survive.

Fish lying on the bottom of the tank (usually around the heater also) is a lethargic behavior associated with a number of possable ailments ranging from diseases, to acclimation issues, nutrition, or any other form of stress such as lack of cover, water quality, bullying, etc.

In short, we are looking for what changed? Additions/deletions, changes in water chemistry, routine, etc.

I have both guppy out of the tank one is fine and the other well he about dead I do be leave. I just would like to know what happen to the female betta that was in their when I went to work. I just got the mollys and the female betta over a week ago every one happy unilt this morning. I don't know if I should put the happy guppy back in or not!!! The rest of the fish are happy, But the water was chemistry was good and the tank has been set up for over a month. I just feel bad that this has happen I loved my female betta, i feed her by her self because she was new and I thought that if I feed her every day at the same time she would learn to know when it was time for her to eat!! But I guess i don't have to worry about that now!!!

I would really like to know how the water readings were. In a 10G tank not fully cycled (or JUST cycled) in under a month, adding 1 Betta and 2 large Mollies would have caused a mini-cycle IME.

The timing is about right too. Just around a week you added these 3 fish to a 10G tank with 1 Cory and 2 Guppies. It would have been about 4-5 days when you started to see this lethargic behavior right?

Honestly, I leaning towards ammonia or maybe nitrItes as the cause. Again, I wish I knew more, but this would be my best 'guess' and would axplain the other fish becoming nippy only towards the sick (helpless) fish.

My 10 gallon was well cycled but I always had a very small amount of fish in it, when I added the guppies it went through a mini cycle, thank god I have test kits.

I use the test strips I know that they are no count but I just got them and I can't go spend another 30.00 on the good test kit.But you might be right As I slept today my little guppy died. But the other one and the other fish are doing well as of now.For now on shoould I just add one fish at a time or can I do two?
