I saw some Red Crystal Shrimp at the LFS for $4 (which is a lot cheaper than anything online). I just had a lot of fish die from a disease or bacteria as my water conditions were all good. I was wondering if I could go and buy these shrimp so soon after the fish deaths, or do I need to wait a while, in which case the shrimp might all be sold.

I don't think that the shrimp will die from any fish diseases. They might be susceptible to some medication you might use, though. If you are done with medicating, you can go and get your shrimp.

Thank you Ulan once again. I think I'll go get some soon as I haven't used any medication.

For 4 bucks they are Red Cherry Shrimp. The red crystal shrimp are outrageous and not commonly available in the US.

Make sure your water params are good before adding them, they are sensitive.

I don't have much to say about your question, since I don't know anything about shrimps...but your title was interesting to me because I thought you meant that after your fish died, they transformed into shrimps. Yeah...I haven't slept in a few days cuz it's final's week lol, sorry

Nope, they are Crystal Red Shrimp.... they have red and white stripes. When I went back, the price went up to $5. I think they are Grade B.

And LOL College, it'd be quite interesting if dead fish turned into shrimp.
