Dead Fish:(

Me and bigb1112 both had our clownfish die in the same day. Mine appeard to have ich, they both looked to have a salt like substance caked to the outside of their skin and his clown we're not sure what caused it's death. My levels were fine and his nitrates were at 50. Any help on what might have happenned?

for starters i get ancy when my nitrates are above 5.

do you have a quarentine tank? did you quarentine the fish?

did you treat them for ick?

no we dont have a quarantine tank, and yes i did get some ich treatment. Hopefully everything works out alright.

I would lower the nitrates, also where did you get the fish from and was it with any other fish

We got the fish from big als. ITs was the nitrates cause i used this red slime remover and before my nitrates were less than 5. It killed all the red slime but my nitrates ended up going through the roof because of all the die off. Just to warn everyone out there to do a huge water change after you use that stuff.
