Two of my asteria snails died today and when i went to take them out they seemed to have been eaten by either my other inverts or fish. I took the shells out and there was nothing left in them, so i then proceeded to toss the empty shells back into the tank. Now i have 4 shells just sitting on the sand. Should these be taken out? Or because they are so few they can sit without chaning the parameters?

They wont have any effect on the parameters...If you have hermits in the tank, they may well move into the shells if they bigger than their current homes..
