I got some water hyacinths and fairy moss to put in my tank but I want to know how to sterilize it of any possible leeches and parasites. Is there a way to do this? bleach or hot water etc?

oh thanks! yeah I was not sure. Me and my mom got some water hyacinths a while back and put them in a clear vase to see the roots, and my mom swears she saw leeches swimming about. I thought they could lay eggs on plants or something but not 100% just rather be safe than sorry!
a few min in a weak bleach solution will take care of anything that may have hitched in on your plants
