Decided on a first Setup,What do you think?

I too would say start with the sump if you have the means and plan to have one anyway. You would save more in the long run by not spending money on HOB equipment that will eventually be replaced with a sump.

The flow rate on the return pump will require a little bit of math. It will depend on the flow rate of your overflow and the distance between the pump and the display tank.

I have not set up a sump yet, so currently cannot remember how to calculate what will be needed.

This would be the best option. Drill the tank now, and make the sump. I have a 60 gallon with hob skimmer and ac 110. I would have made a sump for mine but my stand doesn't allow it.

It's possible to make a great tank without a sump, but if you can swing it do the sump now, it gives you the most options and the extra water volume doesn't hurt.

Another vote for a sump. Added water volume, a place to run a refuge (if you decide you want one), hides equipment and allows for much better skimmer options.

Good ones at good prices.

Good return pump for a 700 gph overflow with a few turns in the return line and about 4 foot of vertical head would be the Sicce 2.0 (or equivalent Tunze model), eheim 1260, or mag 5/mag 7 (warning the later are energy hogs and are loud).

Make certain the back pane where you will be drilling is not tempered glass.

Congrats on the new tank!

Thanks for all the advice guys!,I'm so excited to start this project!..I have searched and Can't seem to find the answer on sizing the powerheads ond how many to have, ant brands to avoid?

Stick with Ecotech (vortech), Tunze, Sicce, Koralia (evolution) and maxi-jets and you'll be ok. If you go with MJs, spend the extra money and get the magnet mounts and I am referring to either the new MJs or the the older ones plus the propeller attachment.

If you can swing it, pull the trigger on vortech(s) or controllable tunzes. If you want to keep costs down go with the Koralias or MJs and later on you can buy a wave maker to have them cycle on/off.

Something like this...
