Would you be so nice? I'll wire transfer the money over. . .
hope you don't mind me stopping by NYC on the way . .. Someone might wanna come along for the car ride.
Have you played a Jazzmaster before? I would just go with the one that plays/sounds better to you. The Jazzmaster has a little different look to it but the Tele's a classic.
Personally I think Strats can get away w/ all the candy colors but I like the Teles w/ a natural finish.
Jess, I know what you mean about the tele. . . I also like the black teles, but natural looks more "classic tele".. .
As for the sound, they're quite different, and I like each of them for their own . I won't get all nerdy on why, but I'm stuck between the two . . . . Hey, do they make an electric version of that guitar you're displaying?? .
Just like a man -- only interested in the curves... isn't there something to say for substance?? Soooo, how long is the neck on that jazzmaster anyway?? (not that it matters of course..........)
Gretsch just "resurrected" the Chet Atkins 6120's since they regained the copyright on Chet's name from Gibson...
If you don't like the hollowbodies Cheech... you could try a DuoJet or even a Corvette and see what you think. Gretsch actually made a hideous Strat copy back in the day but they're pretty rare (fortunately). Now anyone w/ a Yellow Submarine avatar should at least try out a DuoJet, I think.
As far as the Gibson harp guitar coming in an electric version... well sadly, no. lol Maybe you could retrofit it with a Fishman? But it really isn't practical for playing out, it's *extremely* heavy.
