Decor Too Sharp For Betta?

I have had this fake tree stump looking thing sitting in my empty 5 gallon tank soon to be a betta tank....is this piece too sharp for my soon to be betta's fins? i only have this thing and some small artificial plants.

I suppose you could, but I'd do a test patch on the bottom first so you can see what it will look like. Depending on how it's made, you might scrape off the color or something.

I have a fake stump in my betta's tank, and he loves to sleep inside it! I'm sure you don't need to sand it...I think that will just remove the paint.

You can test it by running some nylons/pantyhose across it. If they snag, then it would be a problem. Otherwise, you're fine.
