The decoration has been in my 30 gallon for nearly 2 weeks now and no harm came to the fish. I did boil it twice and after the 2nd air dry the smell was gone.
The fish go in it and enjoy it so I think it's safe.
What a hassle I went through to save 10 dollars on EBAY. Oh well boiling it twice didn't cost me anything and it's safe now so i guess since it saved me nearly 10 dollars buying it on EBAY rather then the LFS it was worth it.
