Decorative ideas using Marimo Balls?

I have a few of these, as much as I like how they look just sitting there being the fuzzy balls that they are, I'm interested in different things I could do with them in the aquarium.

I've heard of people making moss ball trees, and un-raveling them for shrimp but is there anything else anyone here has tried that looked good?

I've got the trees and the unraveled ones. Perhaps you could wrap some LED's around them come the holiday season?
