decorator crab

I was at my lfs and they had a decorator crab. First time I had seen one, strange looking but yet kind of cool. The sales person said they were ok for reefs but will pick up stuff and stick it to themselves. Has anyone had one? Are they ok for reefs? Thanks

i would love to have one, they look crazy!, thier pincers seem kinda small to do a lot of damage to fish or other inverts, i wouldnt get it if you have any prized/high end zoas/other softies.

yea lol theyre okay for reef, but your polyps and such will magically be on its back one day, theyll still open and stuff its just funny to see. thats as much as i know, someone might say differentlythough

I've heard of them bothering small fish and inverts such as shrimp, but I believe they are generally considered to be reef-safe crabs.

i have a large one in my tank..he dosen't bother any of my fish , but my green star polly disappered..he's wearing it..LOL...
