Deddo's en Mniek's Aquaworld!

Welcome to AC! Very nice tanks!

All of your tanks look great, but I have to agree with the others, that cube is my absolute favorite. It's awesome!

Thank you very much! Yes, the Cube is really wonderfull and doing great. It's the home of 2 Dp's, Puffie and Duppie and 3 Amanoshrimp. Yet it takes a lot of work to keep such a small tank clean and healthy. All our tanks are not that big, so we are spending quite some time in keeping them ok. The Jewel and the Aquaparadise maybe look as if the water is brownish, which is true. That's because there is bogwood in them. They are scaped in a Amazonway. The other 2 tanks only have stones, therefor the water is much clearer. Maybe you all like us to tell our setup story??? If so, let me know and you can brase yourselfs for a long long evening of reading :)

Your tanks are very beautiful. I am curious what that little piece of equipment is?

What do you mean by "piece of equipment"?? I do not understand

very very nice job aquascaping the tanks. they all look awesome.

In the last picture in your first post on the left there is a small white object. I was wondering what it is.

Ah, that's the thermometer!

Awsome tanks!

update Aquaworld!

:) someone told us we suffer from MTS............which is very true!
In one of our 27ltr tanks we have 2 Dwarfpuffers (Tetraodon travancorius), called Puffie and Duppie. Yet they don't seem to like each other very much, Puffie is in charge and hunts Duppie down. So what can one do?
We can take Duppie back to our LFS but he captured our heart.....
We have another small tank where we keep the clippings of our plants.......it is big enough for a Dp, soooooooooooooooooooooo..........;)

Bought a hangon filter, used leftover black gravel (2mm), went into the garden to look for some stones from our pond and boiled them, put them in the tank; planted clippings and see the result: a beautiful Dp tank is born!! :)
It's still cycling, but already looks wonderful.

Here's a list of the plants and substrate in it:
  1. Black gravel 2mm with substrate underneath
  2. Micranthemum umbrosum
  3. Rotala wallichii
  4. Ophiopogon japonicus
  5. Cryptocoryne amicorum
  6. Echinodorus red flame
  7. Anubias nana Bonzai
  8. Heteranthera zosterifolia
  9. Cabomba aquatica
Since this is an open tank you can see the Ophiopogon is growing outside the tank, which is a beautiful sight
