Deep Fat Fryer / Aquarium

**I in no way condone the keeping of your pets in deep fryers.**

Why not? I dont see a problem keeping fish in a deep fryer...

Seriously though... :thud: :rant2:

Somehow I highly doubt they plan on really keeping the fish alive for very long. They're probably just making you realize that its water they're in, not that fish are of any other significance in their project. Is there even a filter on it?

omg, the waste from the fishy going into the water and into the oil and into the food ... wonder how the food taste like ...

:P

Well there goes MY supper thoughts! YUCK!

Maybe the gf will eat whatever food is in there, but i agree, how do they get oxygen? Also, can you imagine trying to clean that OUT? UGH!

Yes, oil floats on water. But it also will sink eventually. And coat whatever is in that tank. GROSS! Poor fish!
Remember the Exxon Valdez? It coated the Alaska coastline for years to come. This wouldn't be any better. That tank would be useless for anything afterwards.

Hmmm... I saw that video a while ago...

I think he says that it's taken him 10 years to develop it, not how long the fish live... but I could be mistaken, my Japanese isn't quite that good.

I haven't figured out how the fish get oxygen, or how they clean out the wastes though. Probably have some kind of tap at the bottom for the poops, but dunno 'bout the oxygen...

Oil degrades because the bits that are in the oil keep cooking, and get burnt, causing the oil to go "old"... so the water is essentially filtering the oil by collecting the fried bits at the bottom so they don't stay in the oil, and allowing the oil to be used longer.

From what I understood, my Japanese isn't exceptional , even though I got a Japanese name. Well sort of.
Those patties are made at a fast food restaurant, kinda like our Mc Donalds. They were not meeting their estimates of gross profits from their breakfast menu. So this guy named Dai Yan rui came up with the idea of the "Golden Patties" aka Gold Fish Patties.

Apparently they are selling pretty well now. Now, why is it called "Golden Patties." Well it so happen that every once in a while a gold fish gets impatient for its food (if you have raised common gold fish before you'll know they are always hungry) so it goes up looking for food and gets trapped in the hot oil, it floats up to the surface. Depending on the time this happens if you are ordering yourself one of those patties, you get the patty along with the gold (fried) fish, free, that's their guarantee. Thus, they are called "Golden Patties."

I know, the Japanese, go figure...

:iagree: :barf:
