>"Jeez, and we thought it was going to be subtle!" marveled comet expert Donald Yeomans as images of the impact were received at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. "We've had a far bigger explosion than we anticipated. ... I can't imagine how this could go any better."

That's amazing. I wish I could see it, but I'm not a member so I got kicked out when I tried to play the recording.

I'm not a member either.

We have to wait on NASA..

By the way...
It truly IS AMAZING !

What other nation could hit a target at 83 million miles???!

I won't go further on how BIG a deal this is...

(..unless I'm teased into it.. LOL)

Guess we are all at the edges of our seats - waiting to know the recipe of "Primordial Soup"!

At 1/3 of a billion dollars, we should get at least two cents of info back!!

At least the comet Tempel 1 didn't fragment and have us wonder where all the pieces are going...

:D

ROTFL    :soda: :soda: :joe: :thud: :joke:

That's pretty funny. So I wonder what her reasoning is behind the amount? $300 million seems like a pretty weighty amount for a career astrologist to net over several lifetimes. Of course, she's an astrologist so maybe that IS her arguement.

On another note...

NASA will "sit on" the scientific results of this "experiment" for at least a week. No one may really know what the findings are. I trust real time data without NASA censoring it first! Secrecy like this only fuels conspiracy accusations.

Until NASA comes back with "live video feeds" they are not to be trusted.
And when NASA cries for more budget money, many more 'regular' working folks will be against additional monies....

-----

NASA = National Agency of Secret Agenda

Get your funding from the military budget....
