Defeating BBA: A Photo Journal

Thanks all for the suggestions.

I use pressurized co2 @ 2bps and I've tried playing with that and had no luck.

My lights are on a timer and set to be on for 9.5 hours a day.

I haven't dosed excel in that tank because, up until recently, I had vals in there. I took those out so excel is now an option but I want to see if it will clear up on its own. I may resort to excel though; I'm an impatient person!

lol turns it red trust me lol.... when i redid my 85 gallon i left plants in a bin outside when i put them back in they had bba i gave up bought excel and killed it off. on the hardware i would take it out and clean it off. i tossed a extra filter on the take to keep the o2 levels up.... adding too much excel and kill your fish too just be careful. i did 2x what they said to use.

Yep!! Ditto! Same thing happen to me a year ago or so. BBA is a DEMON! I wish you good luck. Be careful with excel and some plants. The double dose killed my beautiful forest of anacharis I had; check if some of your plants have been reported susceptible.

id dump your hardware and some of the plants in a 5 gallon bucket water with potassium permanganate in it. Leave it for 45 min. Wash everything off with tap water and add it back to the tank with a bit of prime. Then start dosing excel in addition to the co2.
