So I went out and bought 2 more cories for my tank and when I got back to my room, I noticed that one of the cories that I bought is deformed. I didn't notice that the cory only had 1 eye. It didn't lose an eye I don't think, there's no sign of damage. The cory gets blind sided by other cories. I'm wondering if I should return this cory, I don't want it to be blind sided by the betta. The cory is very young and I'm not sure if deformities will shorten its life.

Should I return the cory or keep it?

I have an albino cory with no eyes. Never had them. She is one of the oldest fish in the tank and has never had any problems. I figure catfish don't really rly too much on their eyesight and go with smell and feel most often.

My betta only tried to nip its fins, I noticed that the cory had a missing eye when it was in the bag. I tried it in the tank, but it wasn't getting along with the betta. My betta doesn't pick on other fishes unless it looks like its sick or dead and that cory appeared like that to the betta.
