Try to notice if the fish swim out of view along the sides, the tank might be considerably larger than it looks or (who knows) even filtered by a sump. In wall tanks...it's anyone's guess how big they are. It's very possible this is a professional setup with professional maintenance, believe it or not!
They have to do whatever the customer wants, and they might have portfolios or something...which the person in charge is just pointing to and asking for. That might explain the various different themes and fish. Many "customers" insist the tank look very full.
