I'm starting to get some serious algae growth in my tank. Its growing all over all the plants and wood. What is it? What can I do about it?

Here's the fuzzy stuff.

And I just noticed this one on the rotala. Its a different color, and looks a little different. Its on the very tip of the leaf.

i agree. bba is hard to remove. if you try pulling it off and it doesnt come off, it's bba. remove the leave.
hair algae should come off with a toothbrush

Cut down on your lighting time, it worked in my tank.

what jpappy said. tank specs necessary for accurate advice :)

BBA tends to be influenced greatly by CO2. too high light + not enough co2 = bba, at least from my experience (had a good amount of bba in the past :mad2:).

never had hair algae, not sure what that's caused by

Looks like you got some staghorn algae too on the rotala. Up the co2 is you have it and maybe cut down the photoperiod?

How do I increase CO2? I have cut down on the photoperiod. Maybe if I add some nutrient absorbing plants?
