hi i got an aquariam from somebody and it came with this really nice devils hand and i wanted to know if there is any special requirment i should know about or if they are hardy i know pretty much nothing about it at the moment so any info will be greatly appeciated

thanks you guys

Filter feeders--they take foods out of the water column. They do need fairly decent lighting--NO's won't keep one alive for long. They should be upright, and floaty when the lights are on. You can see tiny polyps poke out from varous places. The will split and spread, so provide some room around the base.

a little late but do devils hands like alot of current or not because just moved mine and it is not looking so good and i wanted to know if i could move it some where that it will like more. since i moved it it almost always keeps its tentacles or what ever they are in

thanks a bunch you guys

Mine is in a steady current, but it's not a really strong flow. I'd give it a few days to get used to the new location--might not look much different to us, but a small move can be a big difference to the corals in terms of light and flow.

Consistent with what OrionGirl said, my leathers like either gentle or surgy current, but not constant strong current. I also agree that you have to wait to see whether it likes the new place. They tend to stay closed up for a few days after a move.
