About two days ago my diamond goby had ragged fins. I asked the local fish store to see if he had fin rot. They told me that I had nothing to worry abt because it was not cloudy or white. So I decided to wait for a couple of days and to my surprise, he completly recovered after one day! Is this possible? I thought that it usually takes longer for the fins to recover.

Fins can heal very quickly, they're easy for the fish to damage so they need to be quick healing. Ragged fins heal quicker than missing pieces of fins because the fins just join back together and don't need to regrow.

Yeah.. I had one of my Pajama Cardinals get a significant chunk taken out of his tail and it hasn't regrown. I don't expect it will after how long it has been. But if you have good water fins can heal realitively quickly.
