I have 2 HOB filters... one has two bags, the other just one. Also the sponge was clogged so I swished it in the bucket water. I will from now on only do one filter ( bag) at a time. no more then 1 so the tank will not mini cycle. my other tank is always fine, it has a bio wheel filter. Also I have not used any charcoal, do I need to? it only lasts a few weeks and what a mess. so I never use it in my filters.
I will be getting a new bio wheel for the big tank soon. I just love them !
