Been trying to get rid of some stubborn algae thats attached itself to some driftwood in my 110g for some time now. Just got fed up and dosed the whole tank with Tetra Algae Control. Next morning I put in new filters w/charcoal and would'nt you know it, my Festae put down some eggs that night:wall:. Never had a fish spawn so I'm not sure what the eggs are supposed to look like. Any help and info is GREATLY appreciated.

they should appear transclucent with a light yellow/orange tint(tan)
if they turn white they are not fertilized.or fungus may have attacked the eggs.

do you have a pair?

Yeah I think they're paired up. The eggs don't look translucent to me though a little milky, Darn! Trying to get the pics to upload now.

Thanks star_rider and ibr3ak. I should've waited until I figured out how to get my pics uploaded before posting. Kinda hopeful because if I had to describe them I'd say they were tan, not white, after looking more closely.

that's good..they shoud hatch to wigglers in 3-4 days.

Eh.... you'll usually see die off in a clutch. It's easiest to figure out the good from bad then. Most parents are pretty good at "clearing" out the bad ones. This clutch looks all the same. I'm torn because algaecide can be really bad for eggs so I almost want to say the entire clutch is bad. I'll stay on the positive side and say you are in good shape for now.
