did it take a while to break-in your nanostream 6025?

I've hit the 48hr mark and it is still very noisy, I have tried moving it around and last night that seemed to help but now it is making noise again. Is there a position to have it in less likely to make noise? Right now mine sounds like a $2.00 air pump sounds. I took out the blades and gave it a wash but it did not help. It's not running backwards or anything. I am not sure how much longer to give it.

Thanks

Believe it or not, doing the nanostream mod will actually quiet it down significantly (while nearly doubling the flow rate). It is a very easy mod (even the diy challenged) and if you mess it up, it only voids the front housing which only costs 10 dollars to replace. Follow this link:

Thanks, I might try that but from what I gather there should be virtually no noise so I may try to return it if this is the case. It's frustrating because if i unplug it my setup is inaudible, but i plug it in and my living room is filled with a low bthzbthzbthbthzbthzbthbthzbthzbthbthzbthzbth
How is yours positioned? Is your power cable at the top, underneath or sides?

The power cord extends from the top, since it is easier that way. Mine had been noisy for weeks until I did the mod--I have several and the mod quieted them each time.

Did you put the little sticky rubber feet on the magnet mount?? If you missed that, it would definitely make it much louder. I have two and neither one have ever made any noise.
