It's been about a month, last week my ammonia was up to 2 parts per million as well as my nitrate. Now my ammonia is at 0, but my nitrite is still high. And my night trait, because they had about 20 parts per million. Do I need to worry or just let the tank to is thing?

Don't worry, your cycle is on the right track! Having 0 ammonia and showing nitrates (20 ppm) means the beneficial bacteria are doing their job. Nitrite just takes a bit longer to drop to 0.

You can just let it sit for now. However, if the nitrites get way too high (off the test kit chart), it can sometimes slow things down. If that happens, a small water change will help bring it to a measurable range. Are you doing a fishless cycle with pure ammonia or fish-in?
