General Overview of all the changes: http://pages.ebay.com/sell/August2008Update/Overview/

I can't afford to list on ebay anymore, the 8% the are taking is bad enough, then you figure insertion fees, then paypal fees. But in October, they are going to 12%! I don't understand why they are changing.. again. They have oodles of money, are they trying to make is so that big business sells most things?

If I recall right, just before my mom stopped selling on there she read some little press release on the site that pretty much said that was the case.

Seems to me that if that were the case, it wouldn't really be eBay. I don't go to ebay to shop for new stuff.

ebay really sucks nowadays. for sellers its ahrd since one can no longer leave negeative feedback to some of these buyers who buy stuff, claim in paypal it dont work or soemthing, get their money back in full (plus they got your item) and then they leave negative feedback. that site has gone to the dogs.

Why can't you leave negative feedback? I haven't sold on there in almost a year. I agree it sucks. As a seller, I never left negative feedback anyway. Only because if I did they buyer would retaliate and leave very undeserved negative feedback in return. If you are a serious seller that undeserved negative feedback really stings.

I do not use to Ebay.

I have never used Ebay.

Ebay is the devil's site- every visit you loose a little piece of your soul :angryfire:  :mad2: :silly:

The above nonsense aside, their goal is to convert from mostly auctions to mostly fixed price sales.

It is also interesting to note they are laying off employees and their stock is trading at en extremely low level. Australia is also investigating them for their tie ins with their PayPal operation.

Most stock is very low right now. That doesn't really say anything about ebay.
