Didlipis Diandra - Green?

A couple weeks ago I got some Didlipis Diandra from an online store. When they arrived they all had about 1/2 inch on the tips that was green, and the rest was reddish.
Now they have grown quite a bit, but all the new growth is green. None of it has turned red yet.
I have 3 watts per gal. which I always thought was considered "high", and I thought that light was the main factor in plants turning red.
Could I be limited in some nutrient? Would appreciate any opinions on this,

Limiting NO3 will aid in bringing out the reds in the 'red' plants.

Right now my nitrates (I just tested), are reading 6 or 7 ppm. So I think I'll let sleeping dogs lie. I'll live with the green Diandra. Thanks for the info.

How deep(top to bottom) is the tank they're in? There's a possibility that that could be a limiting factor.
I can grow Rotala Indica, Rotala Magenta, Ludwegia Repens, rose red in a ten or fifteen, but don't get a red leaf on any of them until they get 3/4 of the way up the tank in my 55's.
Possibility?

Yeah, thats a good possibility. My tank is 18" high, and these plants are still relatively short. The tops are about 12" from the top of the tank. My other red plants (red temple, Ludwigia Repens, and Rotala Macandra) are all showing great colors, but they are much taller.
That was a good thought - thanks. We'll see what happens when they grow up.
