Difference between Vals and Sagittarias

I went to Petcetera and got two Sagittaria subulata (I hope), they look a lot like the Vallisneria spiralis, which I already have and are producing runners. On the plant that I bought, there are bands parallel to the edges of the leaves. On the Vallisneria, I see the same thing, but not as distinct. Would someone be able to tell me the difference between sagittarias and vallisnerias?

One obvious difference is the texture of the leaf. Spiralis is very thin. Sag is a lot thicker.

Okay, I'll have a look and see if they are Sagittarias indeed. Here's a pic of them. I got them a few days ago. :S

That is not Sagittaria subulata.

oh I thought I have finally got a hold of it. Would you be able to identify it? I would need to give the correct lighting, since I currently have them in low-light conditions (thinking that they were sagittarias :S).

NOTE: The curling of the leaves is due to being kept in a container for a short period (a day or so).

Also, I checked it and it seems to have thicker leaves than the vals (these were labelled correctly as Vallisneria spiralis).

hmm... Oh well, I guess I'll have to make some place for it. I'll be researching for information on the Giant Val.

Yeah! Research Vallisneria spiralis and Vallisneria Gigantea. Just hard to tell in your photo.
