Is there any advantages to wild caught?
I noticed that wild is allways more exspensive so i was just wondering if there was any other reason except that its more work to catch them rather then breed them?

Tank raised are wild caught, as free-floating larvae, and then raised in an aquarium. Tank BRED fish were hatched in an aquarium.

There is no benefit to wild caught fish, and many to tank raised/tank bred fish. Wild captured fish are more prone to parasites, and less likely to eat prepared foods initially. However, currently, most often captive bred/raised fish are more expensive, than wild caught. If you can get cpative raised for cheaper, definitely do so! I encourage everyone to go with captive raised fish whenever possible.

Captive raised tend to be more resistant to conditions that would plague a wild caught fish, because captive raised are used to being in closed systems when wild caught fish are not. Also it doesnt remove or destroy reef ecosystems when you buy captive raised :)
