digital cameras and fast shutters questions

what is a good, all around camera that won't cost me a paycheck? i see some people posting pictures of a single fish and they look fantastic. i try that with mine and it's just a blur.

Most folks cameras probably also cost them a paycheck.

I know the camera I'm looking at right now is the Canon S5... and it will accept macro lenses for the ultimate close ups. Cheapest price on Amazon right now is $340 and probably well worth it.

this is true.

I bought one of the better compact point and shoot cameras (Cannon SD800 IS) and it was pricey.

but I figure I will have it for years to come so in the long run, it is worth it.

most nikon coolpix cameras work well for shooting fish, unless you want to go with a DSLR..which is 100x better than a point & shoot.

you can also look for an SLR like point and shoot, with adjustable ISO settings, and a better system..go to DPreview.com...best camera site around

i use a Nikon D40 which set me back 500 bills, but it was WELL worth it
