i have been needing to get a better one then this really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really old one i got a really really really really really really really really long time ago... kind of on a tight budget.. but i want to get one that will take good photos i think it has to do with Megapixels or something but i am in the spending range of 80 - 130 $ but want to go with the best camera and the best for my wallet as well but any suggestions would be nice. and best place to buy them at or website or something ...

Look at the Canon Powershot series.
They are great point and shoot cameras and some have settings for manual adjustment.

If you can swing it, I'd reccommend a Canon PowerShot A590 IS. but its closer to the $200 range.

Or the PowerShot A-470

CNET gives this a great rating for a "under $100 Camera"

Or just go for it, and get an EOS 450D.

I second the cannon powershot series. I have a powershot SD1100IS, and I like it so much that when mine was stolen, I bought it again. The macro setting is awesome(not so much for aquarium pics) there is actually an aquarium option setting. I always get compliments on my pics that I take, like oh you must have a really expensive camera... but it was under $200. Anyway, so though one day I would like a 'real' camera, I'm pretty happy with it.

I like Sony. People dont like them because they require their own specific memory cards... but Sonys cameras are cheaper for more dsi, zoomage, and pixles.... if you're worried about price. lol. If I had the money, I'd go for a Cannon. lol.

Good pics for cheap- take a look at the pics of my 14 gallon- even my avatar- those were taken with a Sony I bought about about a week ago. (Yay tax return!)

It works great for the aquariums, I took it to a ballgame today and it took great shots of the field! Awesome zoom, lots of options, a self-timer and its decently priced. I got it at Target and spent $250 on the Camera, a memory card and a carrying case. (About a week ago so I bet you can find similar pricing). It had the most megapixles, highest zoom, and iso (3200) for the lowest price tag.

I dont know much about cameras, but I'm satisfied with this one for the money I spent.

...AND it's slim. ;)

(If you have the cash go for Nikkon or Cannon- but this is a GREAT option for a reasonable price)
