Thanks again to everyone. The tank is in about its 5th day of treatment and all visable signs of Ich are gone. The only fish ever affected was my Angel Ram I had recently purchased. None of my other fish ever had any spots on them. I am using the salt/heat method as recommended and it seems to have done the trick. I know I should keep the heat up for at least a week but after that can I start lowering it down to around 76 degrees? It is at 84 degrees right now. I was worried about the White Cloud Mountain Minnows as they like cooler water but they seem fine. Also, when can I start running carbon again. Again thanks to all. I have had my 55 gallon for about 3 years and had never experienced any disease before so I was clueless so I appreciate the knowledge and patience.

I would keep treating for at least 3 more days because of the ich life cycle. Just because you can't see it on your fish, doesn't mean its not in the tank. Ich can only be killed in its free swimming stage and any that fell off should reach that stage within 3 days.
:iagree: they arent gone yet! took me a month and half including tratment and making sure remove the ich from my tank!
:iagree: There might be some left in your tank. 3-5 more days treatment will be good enough. And slowly lower the temperature. (e.g. by 2 degree per day)
Actually the 'angel' ram.. is probably a Blue ram(balloon strain) it will benefit with a warmer tank as Blue rams(Mikrogeophagus Ramirezi) prefer warm water. 76 may stress the ram.
