I have a fifty gallon with 6 corys and 3 otos as the cleanup crew. Despite weekly water changes and gravel cleanings the gravel still seems to get dirty a couple days after cleaning it. Would getting 3 or so more corys fix the problem or is there somehitng else i should do and am not aware of.

Corys will not clean your gravel, nor Otos, not Plecos, et.all.

They may eat fish flakes that drop to the gravel, but that's it.

The only real solution is gravel vacs. Try to penetrate down 1" and cover all of the surfaces. By doing this I usually finish both my 75G and 30G with about a 50% WC every week.

yes, some loaches will dig in...however, the main job is up to you

exactly. no fish, no snail, or any other swimming, crawling, slithering thing you keep in your tank will make your gravel 'cleaner'. the majority of that stuff is poop and slime, and as far as i know, the only thing in the world that eats poop is bacteria, and dung beetle larvae.

gravel vac-ing is the way to go. fish cant flush a toilet... you gotta give them a hand. :)
